Ice water extraction, also known as the ice-o-lator technique, is the process of removing trichomes from cannabis buds using water and ice. The frozen material is processed through an extractor or washing machine with ice and water. By swirling the plant matter in cold water, the trichomes (also known as resin) separate and fall to the bottom. This extraction method is considered among the purest, as it does not use solvents and does not require the use of high temperatures.
