‘Loja’ is an autoflowering, short and early maturing dioecious hemp variety developed in Latvia for hemp seed production. Variety included in the European catalogue of plant varieties since 2021.

Variety is early maturing. Maturity time 110-115 days after sowing. Data based on Latvia 57° N.
● Hemp plants are short, depending on the year and soil conditions, their length varies from 140 to 200 cm.
● The THC content of the plants is absent or very low (in field trials it varied between 0.011 and 0.017%).
● Seed yield 1.0-2.0 t/ha (depending on growing conditions).
The data for the description are based on VCU (LV) test results and data from the scientific research of the INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES AND ECONOMICS.

● Seed colour: brown, weak marbling.
● Weight of 1000 seeds: medium: varies between 13 and 15 g.
● Size of the seeds: suitable for shelling.
● Oil content in the seeds: 33-36%.
● Protein content in the seeds: 24-25%.
